  • What is your return policy?
In most cases, Lazy Blue Music Company does not believe in charging a restocking fee. We understand instruments are individualized, and each has unique characteristics that can only be observed in person. Buying an instrument without playing it first should not result in a financial penalty for our valued customers. If an instrument does qualify for a restocking fee (some rare and highly in-demand items will), it will be clearly labeled on the website's product page. Customers are responsible for shipping costs on all returned items. We will inspect the returned merchandise and notify you of receipt when we receive it. We will immediately inform customers of the refund status after reviewing the item, materials, and instrument cases. After 24 hours of acclimating, customers have another 24 hours to familiarize themselves with their new instrument. If not satisfied, contact us within the approval period for a full refund minus return shipping costs. Customers who purchase instruments in person enjoy a 48-hour approval process as well. All returned items must be in the original condition, complete, unregistered, with original packaging and all accessories and documentation to qualify for a refund. Returned items must be shipped and fully insured and show no signs of wear, use, or damage. Purchasers must provide proof of receipt to return eligible merchandise. No merchandise marked as “FINAL SALE” or “NO RETURNS” may be refunded or returned. Purchasers are responsible for the cost of return shipping for any items purchased on the Website. If the return is approved, we will initiate a refund to the customer's original payment method. The amount of time until funds are deposited back into your account depends on your credit card company's and your financial institution's operating procedures and policies.

Yes, we do offer consignments on most instruments. The basic fee breakdown is as follows: below $3k = 20%, $3k to $50k = 15%. We also charge an additional fee of $75 for new strings, basic setup of the instrument, and pictures. This is not an up-front fee. All payments are taken after the sale of the instrument.
  • Who is Blue and why is he so lazy?
Lazy Blue Music Company is home to the undisputed king of laziness...Blue. Blue is by all measures the laziest Golden Retriever one will ever come across. Fetch? No. Go for a walk? Maybe. Go for a ride in the truck? Not going to happen. Will he wake up to go to the beach, the park, or the lake? Don't bet on it! Maybe if there are Hawaiian Rolls. Then and only then will he think about it. What Blue lacks in energy and general interest in anything outside of bread, he makes up for in awesomeness. He is the best family dog a guy could ever ask for. So, here's to Blue. Cheers!
